A pioneer in dining in total darkness, the brand has extended its expertise to other areas: sensory workshops, spas, escape games, perfume, and events. With an international presence and an inclusive approach, Dans le Noir ? constantly innovates to offer enriching experiences and transform our perception of the world around us.
Our restaurants: a unique sensory, convivial, and human concept
Dans le Noir ? offers a unique gastronomic experience by immersing its guests in absolute darkness around a 100% surprise menu. This immersive concept, based on the rediscovery of the senses, conviviality, and inclusion, is now present in 11 countries and 17 cities: in France, in Paris, Bordeaux, Nantes, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Marseille, Tours. Internationally in London, Madrid, Brussels, Geneva, Luxembourg, Saint Petersburg, Auckland, Cairo, Lisbon and Hong Kong.
Dans le Noir ? operates three of its own restaurants in Paris, London, and Madrid, and since 2016, has been developing its concept in partnership with hotel establishments, among others, to offer a unique experience around the world.
Our Sensory Workshops
The brand diversifies its activity by offering immersive sensory workshops in absolute darkness. In Paris, within the Sensory Space located on rue Quincampoix, participants can experience unique experiences:
- Blind tastings of products selected and tested by our sensory experts,
- Wine tasting workshops,
- Olfactory explorations around perfume.
Our Spas
Since 2011, Didier Roche, co-founding partner of the brand, has been exploring sensory well-being and opened a spa in Paris and then in Bordeaux in 2014. Inspired by Japanese and Chinese massage techniques developed between the 17th and 19th centuries, our treatments are provided by blind and visually impaired practitioners, recognised for their exceptional mastery of touch.
Our sensory escape game
In the field of games and leisure, Dans le Noir ? reinvents the famous escape game concept by immersing players in total darkness. An immersive experience where all senses are mobilised to solve puzzles, guided by our sensory experts. Available in Paris, this unique escape game invites a captivating sensory rediscovery.
Our Eau de Parfum de nuit
The brand's sensory approach has extended to the world of perfumery by creating a perfume of character, dedicated to the night, with powerful and elegant notes, made from precious ingredients. The result of a collaboration between sensory experts, mostly visually impaired or blind, and renowned perfumers, this perfume embodies excellence and innovation, placing disability at the top of the value creation scale, a unique and inclusive design method.
Ethik Connection: Innovation and Inclusion
Ethik Connection is the BtoB branch of Ethik Investment, famous for having developed the Dans le Noir ? brand. The activity is structured around three areas of expertise:

- Ethik Event: an event agency designed to offer impactful and inclusive sensory experiences,
