Our surprise menu

Our surprise menus do not give any clue to customers about what they are going to eat . “The concept behind is to re-educate our customers’ mouths and minds, to make them truly understand the flavours. Totally deprived of light your eyes can’t deceive you, so therefore all preconceptions are gone.

In my kitchen, the surprise menu is designed with strong flavours and aromas, different temperatures of the plates as well as textures and sounds to some extent, all these factors produce a pedagogic experience for our customers. I strongly recommend you to take the surprise menu as it is the basis of our concept and also certainly the best way to fully immerse yourselves Dans le Noir?... ”

During the dinner, diners try to guess what they are eating and explore other senses - taste, smell and even touch sometimes… A sensory guessing game starts between diners who get to know what they actually had once they exit the dark room; and… that is where the surprise reaches its peak!

At Dans le Noir? we do not ask you what you would like to eat but rather what you cannot eat. We take into account all your dietary requirements when taking the order so we always make sure you won’t have any ingredients you are allergic to or avoid eating for any reasons. Thanks to these precautions, every visitor can explore the adventure and enjoy the great excitement of the surprise menu.
