After the success of its two main restaurants in Paris and London, Dans le noir is now expanding in worldwide :

In Main cities with a franchise-like program to work closely with local entrepreneurs interested in setting-up the concept in their own city. Dans le Noir ? did open its first main franchise in Moscow on November the 24 th, 2006.

In smaller cities with a concept of non-permanent restaurant as in Lille from October 2006 to January 2007.

Set-up, Management, Training & Franchising

A license to exploit the concept and the brand "Dans le Noir?" cannot be attained through a simple franchise contract.

In view of complexity, we offer our international investors a formula of a turnkey exploitation set-up, followed by training and management assistance. Priority will be given to those investors who, by the extent of their local connections and logistical capabilities, can help speed up the implementation process.

Ethik Investment reserves the right to invest directly or through the parent company (The Trade Connection Group) 10% of the company capital. The investors should strictly follow the codes of conduct and the ethic of the company; this includes the everyday running of the restaurant.

Research Stage

The establishment of a "Dans le Noir?" Bar, Restaurant or Lounge is dependent on local particular conditions. Ethik Investment can perform the research stage and investigation on the project and present to investors a complete feasibility report. The file will contain evaluation of the necessary investments, economic data and financial forecasts. The licenser charges € 7 000 for this research stage. This amount is discountable from the entrance fee if the project goes through. The payment shall be completely settled at the time of order. Investors shall cover all the technical, administrative and travel expenses.

The Brand and Services Concession Costs (summary)

The set of the rights and services are given for a period of 10 years and can be renewed. An entrance fee of €34.000 and an annual franchise fee of 2,8% of the turnover with a minimum of 13.000 € is expected by the licenser. In Additional 12 000 € of consulting fee will be charged before the opening to covers recruitment, training and logistic organization.

All other consulting requested by the Licensee will be charged 600€ per day. Living and transportations cost will be paid by the Licensee.

All the technical, administrative, and everyday expenses as well as those of moving and accommodation at the time of interventions will be at the charge of the Licensee.

A guarantee deposit of € 20 000 will be required for each franchise at the signing of the contract and will be reimbursed in case of termination of the contract after paying all the due fees to the licenser.

Dans le Noir is also developing merchandising products as Fair Trade and Organic Clothes High quality T-shirts. The company is looking for resellers.
